My area of expertise:

Reproductive Mental Health

Reproductive Mental Health is a broad term that refers to any emotional distress related to reproductive events, including but is not limited to:

  • Mood and anxiety problems during pregnancy

  • Postpartum depression, anxiety, OCD, or psychosis

  • Grief related to infant loss

  • Infertility and/or trying to conceive (TTC)

  • Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) or Premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD)

  • Sexual assault or abuse

  • Birth trauma

  • Abortions

  • Emotional changes during menopause and perimenopause

  • Genito-pelvic pain

  • Gender transitions or identity

Reproductive mental health treatment includes psychotherapy to treat the psychological and emotional challenges that often arise with these reproductive events. Experiencing any of these events can feel isolating, but mental health problems are actually quite common - and they are treatable!

I work with clients to find relief from the distress they are experiencing, and help them move forward in their reproductive journeys in a manner aligned with their values and goals. See services for the types of therapy I offer.
